Hayley Orrantia is an American actor, singer and songwriter. People are most familiar with her character Erica Goldberg in the comedy The Goldbergs' TV show. She is, however, an avid music fan. According to her, music is always been her primary love. At 12 years old, her music took on a serious nature and she began professional training. She began songwriting when she was 13 and was only 14 when she made her debut album of covers songs. The rest is history. Orrantia is a native American and has Hispanic origins. Although she was raised speaking exclusively English and never lived in Mexico she's extremely proud of her Hispanic roots. To keep her heritage alive she's enrolled in Spanish. She also creates songs based on the Spanish language. One such song is "Hasta Verte," a song she recorded in Spanish. Orrantia performed for The X Factor during its first season, in summer 2011. Orrantia's YouTube video was chosen and she was awarded four "yeses" which is a vote, from the judges at the Seattle audition. The first time she auditioned, she was solo but in "Hollywood week" she was put with three other female vocalists into a trio for the remainder of the auditions. The group was eliminated from the show during the fifth week of live performances.
