Lita Rossana Ford (also known as Lita Ford) is an British born American guitarist who was as the lead vocalist for The Runaways a female hard rock group in the 1970s. They gained attention for their rebellious lyrics and punkish design. The band did not enjoy an enormous following within their home country of the United States. However, the group's popularity increased abroad, particularly in Japan. Ford started a metal solo career when the group broke up in 1979. Her first solo release was 'Dancin' on the Edge which was followed by her Album Out for Blood. Her albums weren't very successful and she disappeared for a couple of years. Her return came after the release of 'Black in 1995 and 'Wicked Wonderland nearly 15 years after. The year was 2016, and her latest album'Time Capsule' was made available. Guitar Player Magazine awarded her the prestigious Certified Guitar Legend Award.
