Tina and Amanda

Tina Louise was an American actress, performer, and writer, best known for her role as Ginger Grant from the TV show Gilligan's Island. Her stage work began in the 1950s, with Two's Company, a Bettle-Davis musical. In the 1950s, she appeared as a stage artist in several Broadway productions before gaining to national prominence with Li'l Abner's performance in the year 1957. The singer also released her debut album, titled It's Time to Tina during the same year. Her debut appearance in Hollywood was in the role of Griselda in God's Little Acre which was a 1958 drama. The film was met with wide applause. Louise won the Golden Globe Award for the New Star of the year category. She enrolled in Actors Studio, New York in the same time and was Lee Strasberg's student. Her next memorable role came through in 1964 when she was signed by CBS for the role of Ginger Grant in 1964. Louise Balfour managed to juggle between Broadway and Hollywood playing a somber, sombre character against her famous image as the glamorous model. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. In SG-1 and Sanctuary but she also made a mark as a successful television director with numerous series, including Supernatural & The 100. Her birthplace was in Essex on August 28, 1965 and her family moved to Toronto when she was three where she subsequently spent growing up and in adolescence. She settled in Vancouver following her selection to play Samantha Carter.
